- Downloads
- This page allows you to download the latest versions of certain applications, either to keep a licenced copy up to date, or to evaluate a version before purchasing. All downloads are compressed in zip format. Those files with .EXE as their extension can be run directly to install the software. To decompress .ZIP files, you will need a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE or WinZip. WinZip is available for free download from the WinZip web site.

Certain of our applications use copy protection mechanisms to prevent unlicenced use. Therefore, if you are updating a licenced copy of an application, then you must check carefully as to whether the version you are downloading is compatible with the form of Copy Protection your current version uses. Early versions of Phoenix Log, Lightworks Assistant and List Manager used so called "software" copy protection which involved the transfer of a software based key from a Key disk onto the hard disk of the computer. Later versions and other applications use a hardware key (or "dongle" as it is often known to developers) which plugs into the computer's printer port or a USB port.
- Each download is marked clearly with the copy protection mechanism it is designed for. Note however that all downloads can be used for evaluation purposes in the absence of a dongle or software key.
- Phoenix Log Updates
- If you do not currently own Phoenix Log and just wish to evaluate the latest
version, click PHLC40.EXE (5.6MB).
- If you have version 1.x, 2,x or 3.x, and you have "software" copy protection (ie you have a Key disk with a serial number on it), click PHL30.ZIP (799K). The latest version 4.0 will not work with your software Key. However you may download it for evaluation purposes and installing it will not interfere with your earlier version installation. To download version 4.0, see the previous paragraph.
- If you have version 3.x or 4.0.x and have hardware
dongle copy protection, click PHLC40.EXE
(5.6MB) to get the latest version 4.0.6. If you prefer the older version 3.0
interface, then click PHL30HSP.EXE (2.99MB)
to download version 3.0e.
- Lightworks Assistant Updates
- Lightworks Assistant is just a rebadged version of Phoenix Log. Therefore,
if you do not currently own Lightworks Assistant, download the latest version
of Phoenix Log (5.6MB).
- If you have version 1.x, 2,x or 3.x, and you have "software" copy protection (ie you have a Key disk with a serial number on it), click LWA30.ZIP (768K). The latest version 4.0 will not work with your software Key. However you may download it for evaluation purposes and installing it will not interfere with your earlier version installation. To download version 4.0, see the previous paragraph.
- If you have version 3.x or 4.0.x and have hardware
dongle copy protection, click LWAC40.EXE
(5.6MB) to get the latest version 4.0.6. If you prefer the older version 3.0
interface, then click LWA30HSP.EXE (3.0MB)
to download version 3.0e.
- Phoenix List Manager Updates
- If you have hardware dongle copy protection,
or are just wishing to evaluate List Manager, click PCL30HSP.EXE
(5.8MB) to get the latest version 3.8c.
- If you have "software" copy protection (ie you have a Key disk with a serial number on it), click PCL30.EXE (926K).
- HASP Device Driver Updates
- If you have hardware dongle copy protection,
and your licenced application will not recognise the dongle, you may need
an update to the HASP device driver (the bit that links the application with
the hardware dongle). Either download and re-install the latest version
of your application, or click HDD32.EXE
(4.2MB) to download and install the latest driver.
